Wow! It’s been a year since Black Sheep: Letting go of the Past went live!
So much has happened in the last year. Loads of ups and down and so many exciting times. Things like the first good review, the first bad review, the first person ranting that they hated the book because it wasn’t what they expected (even though nowhere in the blurb was that expectation ever set up).
I also met a lot of amazing friends during the blog tours that I’ve done and so many other people around that.
So, it’s time for a CELEBRATION!!!!
Sale runs from 12 to 24 Dec!
SALE IS EXTENDED TO JAN 1 2014!!!
For the next 12 days all the Black Sheep books will be on sale! Yep, all of them!
Black Sheep is not for the faint of heart or people looking for a sweet romance to read. It is a story of learning to deal with your past and how to move forward after trauma. It is rough, raw and deals with dark subjects like depression, abuse and self-mutilation.
Black Sheep: Letting go of the Past
Regular Price: $0.99
When Vic comes out of the psychiatric hospital his mother has moved the whole family away from his home town, where his last relationship almost ended in tragedy. Vic, glad at being able to start anew, decides to only focus on school work, no dating, no boyfriends, no drama. His plan is go get through these last two years and move onto university.
That plan is sabotaged when his new best friend, Jack, kisses him on New Year’s Eve, something Vic has been longing for and dreading in equal measure. Because he’s scared sweet and innocent Jack won’t be able to handle him, or his past. It scares him more than anything now that his past has come to haunt him, metaphorically and literally.
Vic tries to hide the depression and panic as long as possible, from Jack, from his family and from himself. But horrors have a way of catching up with people and when Vic’s past catches up with him it isn’t just him that gets hurt.
Can Vic trust Jack enough to tell him what is going on? Has he finally found someone who isn’t scared of him?
Black Sheep: Loving in the Present
Regular Price: $2.99
Vic has taken a turn for the worse and is back in the psychiatric hospital. Jack gets kicked out of his house when his parents find out that he is gay. The reason Adam is not getting better is revealed. And that is just the beginning.
Everybody is lost and trying to not let life spiral out of control. Jack moves in with Vic’s family, making it his temporary home until he can move in with his brother and sister. Vic’s health doesn’t improve until he hears about Adam, at which point he puts his mind to getting better. Adam on the other hand is fighting his own feelings about Vic’s illness and questions their friendship.
When Vic and Jack visit Adam and Tom for Tom’s birthday, it seems like a great way to let loose, but Vic is hiding more secrets than anyone knew and when they are exposed the situation explodes. Vic storms off in anger and seeks solace in dangerous places and, unknowingly, putting not just himself, but Jack, too, at risk.
Black Sheep: Fighting for a Future
Regular Price: $2.99
Jack is dead, Adam is back in the hospital in the worst condition he’s ever been and Vic believes it’s all his fault. That he’s the reason everyone’s hurting and that there’s only one way to end it – to end his own life.
Then the doctor bears bad news, Vic’s own condition has worsened and his days are numbered.
This is the wake-up call Vic needs. Maybe he can, for once, make people happy before he hurts them in the worst way possible. He hides his condition from everyone, not wanting anyone to worry while he’s trying to make them happy.
But time is running out. Will Vic see his wish fulfilled before the end comes?
